FAQ
What is an HWP file?
HWP (and the newer HWPX) is the document format of Hangul, the Korean word processor by Hancom. It is widely used by Korean government offices and schools.
Can I convert HWP to PDF or Word?
Yes. After opening the file in HangulWeb, save it as PDF or DOCX from the File tab.
Is the file uploaded?
No. HangulWeb reads and edits documents only inside your browser.
How files are handled
HangulWeb never sends your files to a server. Reading, converting and saving all happen inside the web browser on your device, and results are saved only on that device. There is no sign-up; usage statistics are sent without document contents only if you agree in the consent bar.
